UK Carrier Sync — App Terms (merchants)

Version 1.0. B2B: the merchant is a business.

  1. What the app does. Synchronises orders from your Shopify store to your own Royal Mail Click & Drop (and, when available, Evri) account using your API credentials, retrieves labels and tracking, and reports failures. We do not buy postage, hold a carrier account on your behalf or resell carrier services. You remain the account holder with the carrier and bound by its terms.
  2. Independence. “Royal Mail”, “Click & Drop” and “Evri” are trade marks of their owners. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for any carrier.
  3. Your responsibilities. Accuracy of order, weight, dimensions and customs data (descriptions, HS codes, values, origin) is yours; the app only transmits what your store and settings contain. Keep your API key confidential; you can revoke it at any time.
  4. Data. We process your customers’ personal data as your processor under the Data Processing Addendum (DPA), which forms part of these terms. We retain order data for 30 days for error handling and then delete it.
  5. Fees. Charged through Shopify Billing on the plan you select; usage tiers by monthly orders; you can change or cancel the plan at any time from the app; no refunds of the current period except where required by law.
  6. Service levels. We aim for 99.5% monthly availability of the sync service (excluding carrier outages, Shopify outages and scheduled maintenance announced in the app). If sync fails we show the order in the “not synced” panel with the carrier’s error and retry automatically; we alert you by e-mail if an order stays unsynced for more than 15 minutes. We do not guarantee carrier API availability or behaviour.
  7. Liability. Nothing excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud or anything that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that: (a) our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period; (b) we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or data, or indirect or consequential loss, or for losses caused by carrier or Shopify failures, or by inaccurate data you supplied.
  8. Term and termination. Uninstalling the app ends these terms; we delete your data per the DPA. We may suspend the app for security reasons or breach, giving notice where practicable.
  9. Changes. We may update these terms with 30 days’ notice in the app.
  10. Law. England and Wales; exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
